The Lord's Food Pantry is open every Friday evening from 4:30 to 6 PM and Saturday morning from 10 AM until noon. The member churches of South Brunswick Interchurch Council collaborate and provide volunteers to maintain and support the Pantry. As of June 4th, 2022 the Pantry operates at the former SoundHouse at 3610 Express Drive, Shallotte, NC.

Many families in South Brunswick County, NC go hungry every year. Please help us provide them with enough to eat. By providing enough food for at least 3 days, we enable them to enjoy a greater quality of life.

Our MISSION

South Brunswick Interchurch Council’s mission is to improve the quality of life for our community by meeting basic human needs. Every Saturday SBIC provides at least three days of food and basic personal items through The Lord's Food Pantry, a designated Healthy Food Pantry by the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, and an all-volunteer organization from area churches. We rely on these churches, generous local service clubs, individual donors, and grants to fund our efforts.

Our capital campaign

Since 1981 The Lord’s Food Pantry (TLFP) has worked to alleviate hunger in Brunswick County. During this time, we have operated in a variety of locations, sometimes in donated space and other times paying rent. TLFP currently rents a facility which we are quickly outgrowing, and we have a lease that expires at the end of May 2027. TLFP now want to acquire a permanent home for our mission, our volunteers and the families and individuals that we serve.

Feed My Sheep: The Campaign for The Lord’s Food Pantry seeks to raise $1.25 million dollars to purchase property and build a facility of approximately 8,500 square feet. We have entered into a purchase agreement to buy land at 605 Holden Beach Road in Shallotte, NC, and are currently in the process of reviewing bids to build our new facility. By more than doubling our space, the new facility will allow us to better meet the steadily growing issues of food insecurity and hunger in Brunswick County. It is our belief that having our own space will provide a sense of stability and safety for our clients and our volunteers.
